Our process

At 313 Kitchens we take pride in providing a thorough start to finish service for all our clients. You will benefit from our expertise skills in all aspects from design through to installation.

A simple 6-step process is followed to make planning, buying and installing your new kitchen/project as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Design service fee

$230 – Kitchen
$100 – Alternative room/space (i.e. laundry/scullery/pantry/vanity/wardrobes etc)

This price includes one consult to discuss your kitchen/project, and one other to present your design concept and quote.

In advance we require the following:

  • Photos or drawings (Your drawings don’t need to be a masterpiece as we will always do a comprehensive site measure prior to manufacture)
  • Measurements – walls/spaces (Architect Plans for New Builds or Your Own Drawings)
  • Details of appliances 

You will receive: 

  • Design Concept – Floorplan and 3-D Image/s of the design concept (one set of minor changes can be made at no additional cost) 
  • Quotation

Additional/Other Design Service Fees*

*if required

$75 – per hour fee 

This hourly fee is charged for any additional design alterations, major design changes or when multiple designs are provided.

$150 – Site visit fee

This additional fee covers a site visit where full measurements will be taken by 313 Kitchens prior to design start – within Wairarapa (extra mileage may incur an additional fee).

 

PLEASE NOTE – Upon acceptance of our quote, any of the above fees charged will be deducted off the final quote amount.

1. Contact Us – Schedule Appointment

The first point of contact is to establish a client’s requirements. Contact details will be taken and we determine which level of service is required – consult or site visit.

Next, it is important to make an appointment so we can schedule uninterrupted time with you for a design brief or site visit (this will usually take an hour).

2. Consultation – Design Brief

For the first appointment we will require the measurements and/or plans, plus any details or preferences relating to functionality, layout and material options.

Following this appointment we then design and price your project (this timeframe will be discussed with you – usually allow 1 week). 

3. Presentation – Concept Design & Pricing

You will be presented with a proposed design concept and quotation. This will be emailed to you and/or an appointment can be arranged. 

You will get to view realistic 3-D images of your project and have the opportunity to discuss all aspects of the proposed design and pricing. We can also discuss different products options, pricing and any changes if necessary.

4. Alterations & Acceptance/Sign Off

We offer one complementary set of minor changes to the design if necessary (free of charge).

Any major design changes or further design alterations are charged at the hourly rate. Please use this time effectively.

You will then need to sign off your design, quote and specifications. (including materials, colours and accessories.)

We will discuss your installation date/timeframe.

At this time, a 50% deposit payment is required to secure your project in our schedule.

5. Site Measure & Production

A comprehensive site measure will be done prior to beginning the production process.

All manufacturing will take place at our workshop by qualified joiners.

If requested we can arrange a workshop visit for you to view your kitchen/project at its near-complete state. Most benchtops require templating once cabinetry is in place so the benchtop may not be available to view prior to installation. We will show you where and how your kitchen has been made.

At this time, a 45% progress payment will be due.

6. Installation

Our team will keep in touch during the process to check you are ready for installation to take place. 

Please ensure site is accessible, clear and ready for installation to take place. (We will discuss what will be required to ensure your site is ready prior to installation date. This may include, but is not limited to: removal of existing cabinetry, plumbing and electrical work etc.)

Once your kitchen/project installation is complete, the final 5% payment is due. 

 

When you’re all settled in, we would love to arrange to photograph your beautiful new kitchen and/or joinery project for our records.
